Arline Fisch: Creatures from the Deep

Considered to be one of the most respected jewelry makers in the field, Fisch has rarely created anything but jewelry. Bringing her work to a grand scale, RAM's Windows showcased Arline's use of knitting and crocheting techniques to create larger-than-life sea creatures made of wire. One of the biggest challenges that she faced when given this commission is the sheer scale of the Windows on Fifth Gallery. Fisch needed to devise a new approach to create works for the windows of RAM's gallery, which measure nearly 80 feet across when combined.

This collection study guide includes an essay on the the significance of Fisch's work to the field and follows her career development. The 20-page booklet features full-color images of her pieces within this travelling exhibition.
