Cynthia Toops, "Thursday's Child"

Toops is known for her figurative micro-mosaic pieces that she has been perfecting since the 1980s. Most of her work is inspired by ethnic jewelry and ancient beads which she collects with Dan Adams, her husband and collaborator.

Thursday’s Child is an intricate brooch with figures made of tiny polymer beads used in a micro-mosaic pattern. The beads in this remarkable piece are placed in a sterling silver mount.
