Racine and Vicinity Show:
An All Media Juried Competition

June 5 - August 15, 2020

This juried exhibition showcases work from the studios of artists in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties. RAM members also invited to enter work. There is an entry fee of $20 per artist, which is waived for RAM members. 

This year's juror is Diana Bolander. Bolander has been the curator at the Rahr-West Art Museum in Manitowoc, Wisconsin since 2018. She has also served as curator at the Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College and the Wright Museum of Art at Beloit College. Bolander holds her MA in Arts Management from the University of Oregon and her BA in History of Art and Studio Art from Michigan State University.

Competition is open to artists 18 years of age or older who live in Racine, Kenosha, or Walworth County, and RAM Members.

Up to two original works may be submitted confined to the following media:


2D: acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, drawing, assemblage, collage, printmaking, and photography, including black and white prints, color prints, digitally generated or enhanced prints), video, and film. 


3D: basketry, book-arts, ceramics, wood, glass, metals, polymer, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, and textiles.

Over $1,000 in prizes will be awarded. The Awards Ceremony and Opening Reception is Thursday, June 4, 6:00 to 8:00 pm at RAM’s Wustum Museum, which is located at 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine. Awards will be presented at 7:00 pm.
