DESCRIPTION:Full Steam Ahead 2026\nPhotography: Azure Mahara\nWitness an over-the-top spectacle as more than a dozen regional artists collaborate and use a steamroller as a massive printing press! Full Steam Ahead 2026 is free to attend at RAM’s Wustum Museum on Saturday\, August 8\, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. \nRelief printing is a process where a design is carved into wood or similar materials to make a protruding surface that can be inked and printed on paper or fabric. A team of regional professional artists will use this art-making technique—which requires many dedicated hours of conceptualizing\, drawing\, and carving—to produce oversized prints by flattening the inked relief with a steamroller. These fabric prints will be available for purchase alongside a selection of the artists’ existing work in various media\, with proceeds benefitting both the artists and RAM’s Wustum Museum. \nMore information to come. \nLEARN MORE ABOUT FULL STEAM AHEAD

DESCRIPTION:Master Workshop with Tanya Crane: Repetitive Patterns in Enamel\nTanya Crane\nNorth I\, 2025\nCopper\, enamel\, sterling silver\, and brass\nCollection of the Artist\nPhotography: Courtesy of the Artist\nTwo Days\, Thursday\, August 20\, and Friday\, August 21\n9:00 am – 4:00 pm\n \nInstructor/Artist: Tanya Crane \nThis two-day workshop will introduce students to various techniques for creating patterns on enamel surfaces\, include creating handmade stencils\, layering store-bought stencils\, mark making using the sgraffito technique\, and repeating patterns with enamel ink and a quill pen. Students will experiment and learn about the properties of Thompson’s medium expansion enamels\, as well as a variety of overglaze brands\, firing temperatures\, and nuances. Students will make test tiles and have the opportunity to make a finished pendant with a mosaic pattern of their choice.
