RAM PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition 2027

March 17, 2026 – April 4, 2027
at RAM Downtown

The 18th edition of an annual community exhibition showcasing artwork made from or inspired by colorful PEEPS® Brand marshmallow candy.

Whether using the candy as a material or paying homage to it through representation, this exhibition brings together artists of all ages. RAM PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition will be held in the same first-floor permanent gallery space at RAM as last year, continuing to showcase these masterPEEPS® from the community in a larger space. Additionally, RAM will unveil a custom PEEPS®-inspired installation to set the mood for this joy-filled exhibition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to participate in this exhibition?

There are no eligibility requirements for this exhibition. Individuals of all ages, located anywhere in the world, can submit a family-friendly piece using or inspired by PEEPS® Brand marshmallow candies.

What does family-friendly mean?

With this exhibition being a favorite among young visitors and adults alike, RAM likes to keep this show lighthearted and fun. The museum asks that you refrain from depicting gore, extreme violence, nudity, profanity, sexual content, and other sensitive topics in your piece. RAM reserves the right to reject pieces based on these grounds.

Do you have any recommendations for how to create a piece?

Feel free to let your creativity and imagination run wild. In the past, RAM has seen many pieces inspired by popular movies, tv, shows, celebrities, famous artists/artworks, travel destinations, animals/mythical creatures, holidays, or PEEPS® themselves. As long as your piece is family-friendly, you can make whatever you dream up! RAM reserves the right to turn away pieces that don’t have a clear connection to PEEPS® or the lighthearted nature of the exhibition.

RAM also recommends that three-dimensional pieces be visible from a variety of angles to accommodate viewers of all ages.

Please refrain from using electrical, auditory, and tactile elements in your piece. Due to the volume of exhibition entries, RAM is unable to support the individual needs of specialty pieces.

How should I prepare my work for display?

2-D works must have securely attached hanging wire—no saw tooth or bulldog clip hangers.

3-D works must be finished on all sides with no visible cardboard
and cannot be mounted from the ceiling.

RAM staff will not put together or assemble works.

Does my piece need to use PEEPS® marshmallow candy to qualify?

No. Pieces may use PEEPS® Brand marshmallow candy of any holiday variety or be your own representation of the candy. Please note that PEEPS® Brand marshmallow candy is the only acceptable food material. Other food items—including other PEEPS® Brand candies, other marshmallows, sprinkles, chocolate, or other candy—are unacceptable.

If I use PEEPS® marshmallow candy, do they need to be visible or recognizable?

No. PEEPS® marshmallow candy can be used in any way. Cut them up, melt them down, leave them whole—the choice is yours!

Am I able to submit a quilt square to the exhibition?

Yes. Quilt squares are acceptable works, and should follow the requirements for a 2D submission. However, quilt squares do not need to be wired for hanging—instead, they may use hanging corners and a dowel rod for installation.

Please note that due to a diminished number of quilt entries in recent years, quilt squares will be hung individually as 2D works of art, rather than arranged into a “quilt” with other submissions.

I cannot make it to the in-person drop-off days; how can I submit my entry?

If you are unable to make it to the two in-person drop-off days—or are submitting an entry from outside of Racine—submissions may be shipped to arrive no earlier than March 9 and no later than March 13.

Ship works to Racine Art Museum, 441 Main Street, Racine, WI 53403, along with attached entry form. Please label any shipments to the attention of Madison Zapata. Prepaid postage must be included if you want return shipping. Works received outside of tis window will not be displayed and will be returned to the sender using the provided return label.

What information is needed from me to submit a work?

Completely fill out the entry form included in the prospectus and bring to drop-off, or include with your mailed entry.

When can I pick up my work after the show?

Pickup is scheduled for museum hours, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, on April 24 and 25. Because RAM cannot have food in the galleries for extended periods of time, all pieces not picked up by May 2 will be disposed of.

What if I can’t attend those pick-up days, but I want my work?

If you are unable to pick up your work in-person, arrange to have another person attend the pickup days in your place—please send an email to RAM Exhibition Support/Production Assistant Ashley Bohne at abohne@ramart.org and provide the name of your pickup designee prior to April 22. Work can also be shipped back to you—please provide a prepaid return shipping label and packaging materials during drop-off or when mailing work.

What if I don’t want my work back?

Please indicate on your entry form if you wish RAM to dispose of your artwork at the conclusion of the exhibition.

Is there a limit of how many pieces can be displayed?

RAM will accept as many entries that follow display requirements as space allows.

Where is the exhibition being held?

RAM PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition will be held in one of RAM’s first-floor permanent gallery spaces. We hope this move enhances visitor experience by bringing this fan-favorite exhibition to a larger space that better shows off your masterPEEPS®.

What if I can’t pick up my work during the set pickup dates?

If you are unable to pick up your work in person, you can email RAM Exhibitions Coordinator Ashley Bohne (abohne@ramart.org) the name of an alternative pick-up person who can collect the work on your behalf.

Accepted work can be shipped back to you at the conclusion of the exhibition. Please provide a prepaid return shipping label and packaging materials during drop-off.

Work not picked up within 30 days of the designated pickup is considered abandoned and will be disposed of.

Do accepted works need to be on display throughout the exhibition?

Yes, accepted work must be displayed for the entire duration of Wisconsin Photography 2026, December 9, 2026 – April 24, 2027.

If work cannot be displayed continuously throughout this period, please do not submit work for this exhibition. RAM Wustum offers multiple opportunities to participate in juried or community shows, and asks that you would wait to submit your work to a show you could fully participate in.

Why wasn’t my work accepted?

A number of factors are taken into account when selecting work for a juried show. Works are chosen based on individual merit as well as how all selected works will present together as a group in this particular exhibition space.

RAM changes jurors annually, as their personal preference may impact the works they gravitate towards. A short biography of the juror is included on RAM’s website if you are interested in learning more about who is selecting the show.

Please note that RAM staff and jurors are unable to provide individual feedback on why works were not selected for the show.
