A Boy Eating a Foxy Pop

Between 1929 and 1940, Berenice Abbott worked on a monumental project documenting the development of New York City. Inspired by the rapid changes that took place with the city’s architecture while she was living abroad for eight years, Abbott began an exploration that became one of the landmark photography projects of the twentieth century. This photo is one of 8 from the “Changing New York” series that is represented in the collection.
