- All art media are eligible.
- Artists may only submit one proposal.
-
RAM full-time employees are not eligible to apply.
-
Artists must be able to install their own work onsite at RAM during standard business hours on March 3 – 5, 2027. The entire piece must be installed during this timeframe.
Compensation
- The selected artist will receive $2,500 for this project—$1,000 for materials upon selection, $750 in late January upon receipt of in-progress images, and $750 at the completion of the installation.
- Selected artist understands that as an independent contractor, they do not automatically receive deductions for social security or taxes, and the Racine Art Museum is required to report amounts paid annually to the Internal Revenue Service. As an independent contractor, Artist is not eligible for Racine Art Museum employee benefits.
- The selected artist will be featured on RAM’s social media, website, and e-news.
Application Materials
- One fully developed sketch of proposed work, and up to 2 detail sketches if necessary
- 3-5 images of past work relevant to proposed installation
- Artist Resume or CV (maximum of 3 pages)
- Proposal/Vision Statement describing what you would create (maximum of 300 words)
Requirements
- Work should be created specifically for this installation.
- Artists may use any media desired to create their work. The museum cannot accept works that include food, soil, or living organisms. PEEPS® Brand Marshmallow Candy is the only acceptable food.
- This work will be housed in one of RAM’s first floor galleries behind a set of interior-facing glass panels, and must be created to fit the space:
- The installation space is accessible from one side. The installation space is 34 feet and 9 inches long, 38 inches deep, and 8 feet tall.
- The seven glass panels in front of the installation space are each 59 1/2 inches wide, except for the east-most panel which is 58 inches.
- Due to potential for damage to the installation space, works should be floor-supported. Wall-mounted elements are allowed, but please note that the walls can support up to 5lbs. Any wall-mounted elements must be designed accordingly and may not exceed this limit.
- No permanent alterations to the space can be made.
- Due to the large number of submissions for the accompanying community show, PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition 2027, artists are encouraged to provide any supports or pedestals necessary to accomplish their installation. Please note in your submission if you will need pedestals, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Andrea Jablonski's 2026 Site-Specific PEEPS® Installation
Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist Andrea Jablonski presents Enjoy the PEEPS® Show, a playful and irreverent body of work that reimagines iconic sculptures through the unmistakable forms of the PEEPS® Brand Bunny and Chick shapes. Drawing from art history, public monuments, and personal memory, Jablonski transforms well-known masterpieces into approachable, humorous objects.
By filtering celebrated works through a candy-colored lens, Jablonski’s reinterpretations pay homage to artists such as Alexander Calder, Pablo Picasso, Louise Bourgeois, Jeff Koons, and the anonymous creator of the Venus de Milo, while also reflecting her own background as a muralist, fabricator, and public artist.
