Overview
As part of the In/Between Festival, join Racine-based woodturner Harold Solberg for a live demonstration of his craft and creative process. A nationally recognized woodturning artist, Solberg creates bowls, vases, plates, and other forms from local and salvaged wood, highlighting the natural character and beauty of each piece. During the demonstration, he’ll share his approach to selecting and preparing wood, shaping forms on the lathe, and transforming raw materials into finished works of art.
In/Between is a new 10-day festival of visual and performing arts presented by the Racine Art Museum. Spanning Racine County’s built and natural landscapes along Lake Michigan, our mostly free public festival transforms everyday places into sites of creativity through exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops, wellness activities, and social events.
