A festival for you. Welcome to In/Between.

In/Between is a new 10-day festival of visual and performing arts presented by RAM. Spanning Racine County’s built and natural landscapes along Lake Michigan, our mostly free public festival transforms everyday places into sites of creativity through exhibitions, performances, talks, workshops, wellness activities, and social events.

What will you find at the festival?

In/Between reflects both place and practice: our location within the Milwaukee-Chicago corridor, the artists working across disciplines and media, and the spaces “in and between” our city’s familiar and hidden corners.

The festival unfolds through six interconnected series:

Explore the community.

Drawing on the region’s legacy of making, innovation, and industry, In/Between brings art into everyday settings while connecting audiences to local stories through experiences like Quilts on Barns, Wall Poems of Racine, the Frank Lloyd Wright Trail, Racine Heritage Museum, and visits to local galleries and studios. Together, these offerings provide new ways to explore Racine’s architecture, landscapes, and creative culture.

Expanding the possibilities of craft.

In/Between is presented in partnership with Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026, a national initiative highlighting the enduring relevance of the handmade. Through immersive and participatory experiences, the festival expands craft beyond the object while reinforcing RAM’s leadership as home to North America’s largest contemporary craft collection.

Rooted in identity and shaped by the narratives of Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region, In/Between establishes a dynamic new platform for Midwestern audiences. It explores craft at the intersection of art, design, and storytelling while strengthening connections between people, place, and possibility.
