A Peaceable Kingdom (detail)
Laurie Hogin

Aaron Bohrod was born in Chicago, studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League in New York, served in the South Pacific during World War II, and became a member of the art faculty at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1948. Bohrod’s Across the Tracks reflects one tendency of his style—the depiction of relatively realistic renderings of cities, people, and landscapes.
