Cerulean Spin Brooch

Inspired by the papercutting tradition of Papel Picado, Laritza Garcia’s jewelry contains intricately cut, colorful pierced metal designs. Garcia uses a powder coating technique which allows her to work with a variety of vibrant tones, such as those seen in Cerulean Spin Brooch. Her use of color ties to her Hispanic heritage; she notes that she is particularly drawn to the colors of the houses in Mexico from her childhood: blues, oranges, and Rosa Mexicana.
