Coat
Ana Lisa Hedstrom

As exemplified by this jacket, Tim Harding plays with surface and structure—and creating the illusion of depth and dimension—by employing a technique of reverse appliqué that he developed. Originally trained as a painter, Harding’s interest in fiber arose while stretching his own canvases. His late wife and long-time collaborator Kathleen Harding taught him how to sew and inspired his transition to fiber art.
