Raku Workshop | Two Days

Adult Raku
Photography: RAM Staff

Two Days, Saturday, February 7 and 21
1:00 – 4:00 pm

Instructor/Artist: Jeff Shawhan

Explore the depth of Raku firing—an ancient Japanese ceramics technique—in a dynamic two-day workshop. Day one, held in the studio at RAM’s Wustum Museum, includes demonstration, construction methods, and hands-on creation of your clay piece, which will be bisque-fired before day two. During the second, off-site session, you’ll glaze and fire your work using traditional Raku techniques.

Fees: $72 Members   $90 Non-Members
One bisque-fired clay piece and glaze included in the class fees.

RAM members with a Senior or Individual level membership are only eligible for discounts on their own class registrations—the member discount does not apply to family or friends unless you have a Family/Dual level membership or higher. Ineligible registrants will be required to pay the difference before the class begins.

Online registration closes four days before class begins. After that, call RAM’s Wustum Museum at 262.636.9177 to confirm availability.

Class cancellations can happen if enrollment minimums are not met four days prior to the first class. Wustum staff will contact you via phone and/or email if your class is canceled.
