Mara Superior-inspired Watercolor Vessel
Enjoy free RAM admission and extended hours from Noon to 8:00 pm on First Friday, September 3. On view are multi-faceted works in Component Parts: Artworks Made of Multiple Elements; oversized, dramatic, and intriguing designs in Alien Invasion: (Un)Familiar Forms in Contemporary Art; and works created by artists from around the world in Alien Invasion: RAM Virtual Community Art Show, accessible via digital tablets in the galleries.
During the RAM Free Family Hands-On Art Project, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, design and paint a two-dimensional Watercolor Vessel inspired by the decorative porcelain sculptures in Collection Focus: Mara Superior.
Peruse and purchase a large variety of pre-loved books and jewelry in a preview of Rummage-O-RAM-ART, organized by the RAM Museum Store, Noon to 8:00 pm.
