Enjoy free RAM admission and extended gallery hours from noon to 8:00 pm on First Friday, September 2.

RAM is proud to host an artist talk and book signing with famed metalsmith Eleanor Moty at 5:30 pm for the recently published artist monograph, Quiet Elegance: The Jewelry of Eleanor Moty—available to purchase in the RAM Museum Store. Don’t miss this free, public conversation hosted by RAM Executive Director and Curator of Collections Bruce W. Pepich, who co-authored the book.

During the RAM Free Family Hands-On Art Project, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, design a wearable brooch inspired by Eleanor Moty’s elegant jewelry, which is the highlight of a current exhibition at RAM. Whether referencing the landscape or architecture—or both—Moty creates distinctive jewelry that poetically encompasses both wearer and viewer while toying with the idea of “linear imagery.” Take inspiration from the earthy color scheme and lustrous surface and create a functional piece of your own.

The RAM Museum Store offers a selection of impeccably crafted work at prices that fit any budget. First Friday shoppers will enjoy a 20% discount on select glassware, handbags, jewelry, and scarves—look for orange sale signs in the Store during your visit!
