In this class, students will work with prepared kits of black ash splint material to create one plaited basket that will measure approximately 5 x 5 x 5 inches. Students will weave the basket in the checker work weave pattern for the base, and use the diagonal plaited weave pattern for the walls. Students will learn how to finish this basket by tucking in the uprights into the basket body.
No prior basket weaving experience is required. Some hand strength and finger dexterity are necessary.
Fees: $115 Members $135 Non-Members
Includes $55 materials fee per student. All materials and tools provided by the instructor.
