Explore the art of intaglio printmaking with 2024-25 RAM Artist Fellowship Award recipient Rick Berns. Examine a variety of copper plates, including small plates ideal for the press and examples from images in the RAM Artist Fellowship and Emerging Artist Exhibition 2025, with the chance to handle and compare plates and prints. A range of engraving and etching tools will be on display, and attendees can witness the fascinating process of inking and printing a plate, with prints made on-site to demonstrate how images come to life. This workshop offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at the craft of intaglio printing.
