RAM is pleased to collaborate with Mahogany Black Arts and Culture Center—a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, research and exhibition of Racine County Black history, art, and culture—to present the third edition of this outdoor concert series.
Every step of this journaling experience is about art making, including designing and covering the cover of the journal itself. Explore your creativity as you gather inspirational materials to develop your art journal. The journal is the foundation upon which we will design and create layered art pages, bookmarks, tassels, envelopes, flaps, tags, artwork, small books, embellishments and more in multiple styles and using multiple media.
Step back in time—and into your imagination—at Art Camp 1776! Be inspired by history, Americana, and the spirit of creativity. Create, explore, and experience art that’s fun, whimsical, and rooted in the past. Discover games and art projects popular in 1776, then reimagine and refresh them for 2026. From handcrafted creations to artful activities, dive into a hands-on experience where history meets imagination! Parents and family members will be invited to the Time Travelers’ Art Gallery —a celebration of a week of creativity, imagination, and history- and see the amazing art created by our time traveling campers.
Learn basic hammering, forming and soldering skills while creating your own textured sterling silver band ring. Great as a refresher course or to learn beginner technique.
Investigate the human body form through the observation of nude models. Learn composition, drawing techniques and the characteristics of light and proportion. Any type of drawing material or watercolors is welcome. Adult class. Parental permission needed for age 16–18.
Learn painting techniques from a talented artist working in an open studio environment. Explore composition, painting styles, techniques and color analysis through individual instruction. Develop a personal approach to painting. All paint media welcome.
Witness an over-the-top spectacle as more than a dozen regional artists collaborate and use a steamroller as a massive printing press! Full Steam Ahead 2026 is free to attend at RAM’s Wustum Museum on Saturday, August 8, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Learn the art of Raku firing outdoors, the first class will be an intro and clay building session, and the second will be outside clay raku firing.
This workshop will introduce students to various techniques for creating patterns on enamel surfaces.
During this summer art adventure, create two works of art - a table decoration, wreath, or wall hanging with real flowers and a painting or drawing. After creating your one-of-a-kind 3-dimensional live floral decoration, use the item as a still life to create a drawing or painting. Multiple media such as drawing pencils, colored pencils, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolor, etc. will be available. All supplies are included.
