Learn a multitude of clay handbuilding techniques while creating sculptural art! Clay pieces will be underglazed and fired, but not clear coated with a shiny glaze. Learn about ways to add to your creation at home after firing.

Spend the day taking time to practice and perfect your skills on the potter’s wheel!
Functional Clay Workshop | Ages 7–13
Learn to build functional art out of clay! Make pencil holders, trays, pinch pots, coil pots, and even a usable mug.
Beginner’s Handbuilding
Learn to make clay objects using nothing but your hands and a few basic tools. Explore primitive forming techniques such as slab, coiling, and pinching methods to create functional and sculptural ceramic art in this low-impact, calming class.
Clay Fun! No School Day | Ages 7–13
Make functional clay pieces such as bowls, pencil cups, and more. You will even get to make your own mug for hot cocoa or a hot chocolate bomb! This is a scheduled vacation day for RUSD students.
Beginners + Intermediate Handbuilding Ceramics (Potter’s Wheel Open Studio)
Learn to make objects with clay using only your hands and handheld tools. Return students are welcome to work on the potter's wheel during this class time, as an open studio.
Beginners Glaze Formation Class
Learn the basics of glaze development and test a series of new glazes.
Intermediate and Beginner Ceramics
Discover new and exciting advanced wheel throwing techniques. Learn how to easily make plates, throw on a larger scale, and how to combine multiple thrown forms to make a functional teapot.

Open Studio Ceramics
This class is designed for the advanced student with experience. Join this fun Tuesday clay group and work in an open studio environment, practicing potter’s wheel and hand building skills and techniques.
