Weaving Together a Community: Artist Talk with Amanda Browder

Zig and Zag mock-up on RAM Exterior, Photography: RAM Staff
Join artist Amanda Browder and RAM Executive Director Robb Woulfe for a conversation about the way we engage with public spaces during Free First Friday, May 1, 6:30 – 7:00 pm. Known for her fabric installations that combine color, scale, and community to transform buildings into larger-than-life works of art, Browder will begin a limited-time residence at RAM this summer, working with local residents and guests to create a large-scale textile installation to adorn the exterior of RAM. During the conversation, she’ll share more information about this upcoming project, along with thoughts on her practice, process, and the power of collective making.
Browder’s new commission, Zig and Zag, will premiere as a featured project in RAM’s inaugural In/Between Festival, September 18 – 27, 2026.
