Full Steam Ahead at RAM’s Wustum Museum

Please note: The City of Racine requires wearing of face masks in all City-owned buildings, which includes RAM’s Wustum Museum. Therefore, masks are required at Full Steam Ahead while inside the museum and optional while outside on the grounds.

Discover the process of printing large-scale relief cuts using a steamroller as a massive makeshift printing press! This free event will take place at Wustum Museum on Saturday, August 14 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Oversized prints will be created by a team of local professional artists, including Lisa Bigalke, Tricia Blasko, John Cizmar, William Greider, Diane Levesque, Michael Nitsch, Amy Misurelli Sorensen, Joseph Szabo, Jeremy Topczewski, Chad Tuura, Anthony Weber, and Kelly Witte. The resulting new pieces will be available for purchase alongside a selection of the artists’ existing work. Proceeds benefit both the artists and Wustum Museum.

Attendees are also invited to enjoy family hands-on art projects, including community printmaking with artists Marilyn Propp and David Jones of Anchor Press, Paper & Print. Food vendors will also be at Full Steam Ahead serving delectable dishes—Rose Mob Grill will be on-site from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, and Frankie’s Restaurant and Catering from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
