Enjoy free RAM admission and extended hours from Noon to 8:00 pm on First Friday, August 6. On view are objects with beads as decoration or structure in Get a Bead On: Jewelry and Small Objects; oversized, dramatic, and intriguing designs in Alien Invasion: (Un)Familiar Forms in Contemporary Art; and works created by artists from around the world in Alien Invasion: RAM Virtual Community Art Show, accessible via digital tablets in the galleries.

During the RAM Free Family Hands-On Art Project, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, visitors are invited to create interstellar Alien Masks inspired by the fantastical forms in the show, Alien Invasion.

The RAM Museum Store offers compelling material for everyone’s summer reading lists. Receive up to three free exhibition catalogues with purchases over certain amounts. Any purchase over $25 qualifies for a free catalogue illustrating art made during the Works Progress Administration (WPA) of the 1930s and 1940s. $50 purchases also receive a second featuring the work of wood sculptor Michael Peterson. Finally, shoppers who spend $100 or more receive a third catalogue detailing work in RAM’s permanent collection by jewelry artist Robert W. Ebendorf.
