Gallery Talk: Celebrating Frances and Michael Higgins with Collector Craig B. Johnson

RAM invites you to enjoy an exclusive opportunity to learn more about Frances and Michael Higgins—a much-admired couple of American artists who reinvigorated the ancient practice of glass fusing. A career-spanning exhibition, Collection Focus: Frances and Michael Higgins debuts part of a recently established archive collection of 75 works, created collaboratively and individually by the Higginses, which was donated by noted collector Craig B. Johnson.

At 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 18, in partnership with Hot Shop Glass—who are hosting a fused glass workshop earlier that day, inspired by the Higginses’ work—RAM Executive Director and Curator of Collections Bruce W. Pepich will host a conversation with Johnson about his collecting practices and his long-term relationship with the Higginses.

Admission to RAM will be free up to 15-minutes prior to the start of the talk, and there is no fee associated with the event. Light refreshments will be served.
