Awakening the Senses: Art that Invites Interaction

June 11 – August 9, 2025
at RAM’s Wustum Museum

Artists from RAM’s community are invited to create work that promotes engagement in unexpected or unconventional ways. Entries must be dropped off on May 16 or 17, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, or shipped to arrive no earlier than May 5 and no later than May 14, at Racine Art Museum, 441 Main Street, Racine, WI 53403, along with attached entry form.

While traditional museum etiquette expects visitors to observe from a distance, RAM’s 2025 community art show invites guests to break from convention by interacting with the art directly. Activating the senses beyond sight alone, museum-goers are encouraged to make emotional—and physical—connections by getting up close and personal with community-created pieces. Explore the galleries by feeling, trying on, adding to or subtracting from, listening to, or smelling works specifically created to awaken the senses.
