Racine Art Guild Juried Exhibition 2019

June 8 – August 10, 2019

The Racine Art Guild Juried Competitions are organized to demonstrate the creativity of the members of this group of practicing artists. Artworks selected for this show display an understanding of art techniques and presentation.

This year’s exhibition was juried by Annemarie Sawkins, PhD, an independent curator, art historian, and art consultant born in Durham, England. She is currently working with Tom Lidtke on a major survey of art in Wisconsin. Recent exhibitions include FOLD: artists accordion books at the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum and nevertheless, she persisted: Prints by Contemporary Women Artists, Edgewood College Gallery, Madison, WI. She is a past curator at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University. A frequent juror and portfolio reviewer, Annemarie Sawkins has her MA and PhD in Art/Architectural History from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
