Two Days, Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10
9:00 am – 4:00 pm

An introduction to printing on clay using screen and relief printing techniques. Renowned printmaker and ceramicist Paul Andrew Wandless will teach you how to put images into screens without the use of a darkroom and how to carve designs into relief blocks. Then, learn how to print multi-color images using these screens and reliefs.

Imagery and design will be used as a means of personal expression during the workshop. Clay surfaces will be used as canvasses for exploring printed imagery, design, pattern, color, and text. The techniques you learn can be applied to the surfaces of handbuilt vessels and sculptures or can be used to create tiles and standalone prints. All levels of experience are welcome.

A detailed supply list—required for this class—is available to view and download below.

Additional tickets are available below that allow you to provide an additional $15 on one or both days of the workshop to receive a lunch from the museum. Food orders will be placed on the morning of each class, but you must purchase the lunch ticket in advance to take part. You can choose to skip this step and bring your own lunch on one or both days.

Fees: $160 Members | $200 Non-Members

Online registration closes two days before class begins. After that, call RAM’s Wustum Museum at 262.636.9177 to confirm availability.
