RAM 14th Annual International Peeps Art Competition

March 30 – April 15, 2023 at the Racine Art Museum

A family friendly exhibition showcasing the creativity of the community. This competition offers prizes and a chance to win the coveted PEEPles Choice Award.

Participant Entry Requirements

  • Entry is FREE, and open to all individuals, families, and groups.

  • One entry per person/group. Your name may ONLY be on one entry.

Requirements for Entries

  • Use any holiday variety of Peeps®, or create your own representation.

  • No food materials other than sugared marshmallow will be accepted.

  • Entries must not have been previously exhibited at Racine Art Museum or RAM’s Wustum Museum.

  • All works will be measured and must fit dimensions listed below or they will not be exhibited:

    • Two-dimensional works must be no larger than 24 inches high x 24 inches wide x 6 inches deep.
    • Three-dimensional works must be no larger than 30 inches high (indicates elevation) x 16 inches wide x 16 inches deep.
  • Three-dimensional pieces must be finished on all sides with no unfinished cardboard or newspaper showing.

  • Two-dimensional pieces—except quilt squares—must have hanging wire. No saw tooth or bull dog clip hangers.

  • Works may not promote for-profit businesses.

  • RAM is not responsible for artworks damaged while on display.

  • RAM reserves the right to edit any works deemed inappropriate for display.

Important Dates

Delivery

Entries must be dropped off on Friday, March 17 or Saturday, March 18, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, or shipped to arrive no later than Thursday, March 16, at Racine Art Museum, 441 Main Street, Racine, Wisconsin, 53403, along with attached entry form. Please label any shipments to the attention of Kiefer Waterman. Prepaid postage must be included if you want return shipping.

Main Street will be closed from 11:00 am until around 1:30 pm for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 18. RAM will still be accessible via side streets, and entrants may use the museum’s parking lot—accessible from the east on Lake Avenue—for entry drop-off while Main Street is closed.

Exhibition Dates

Open Thursday, March 30 – Saturday, April 15, 2023

Pickup After the Exhibition

Entries MUST be picked up during museum hours on Thursday, April 20; Friday, April 21; or Saturday, April 22. Any entries left at RAM after Saturday, May 6 will be discarded.
