RAM is pleased to announce the return of Artists in the House: RAM Virtual Happy Hour. This particular Virtual Happy Hour offers you a rare opportunity to hear from Milwaukee artist Rosy Petri, whose loaned works have been recently added to the current RAM exhibition In Stitches: Contemporary Approaches to Needlework.
Work on sharpening sketching skills and learning new drawing techniques through the use of a variety of materials.
Take inspiration from nature to create a bird watercolor painting from drawing to completion.
Learn about composition, color, and design as it relates to building a painting from start to finish.
Learn to make clay objects using nothing but your hands and a few basic tools. Explore primitive forming techniques such as slab, coiling, and pinching methods to create functional and sculptural ceramic art in this low-impact, calming class.
Learn wet felting techniques and create a small “canvas” in this one night only make-it-and-take-it art experience.
Discover new and exciting advanced wheel throwing techniques. Learn how to easily make plates, throw on a larger scale, and how to combine multiple thrown forms to make a functional teapot.
Artists exhibiting in the RAM 12th Annual International PEEPS Art Exhibition, as well as the general public, are invited to the Virtual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, March 24, 5:30 – 6:30 pm.
