Artful Nature Journals: Beginning in the Garden Workshop

Photography: RAM Staff
One Day, Friday, August 16
1:00 – 3:00 pm
Instructor/Artist: Sherrye Smith
Enjoy a garden drawing experience where you will learn to scribe illustrations and notes on the flora, fauna, and sounds in the gardens at RAM’s Wustum Museum. Be guided through identifying certain elements of natural settings, and take time to draw close-up garden elements while also focusing on the sounds in nature. Discover how field/nature journalists experience a deeper connection with nature and art.
Dress for the outdoors since the entire session occurs outside. Please bring a portable chair, a journal or sketchpad, and desired drawing materials. The museum will provide additional drawing materials and other supplies needed.
