Celebrate the museum’s annual sale of marvelous second-hand goods during downtown Racine’s Party on the Pavement on Saturday, September 17. All proceeds benefit RAM’s exhibition and education programming, including SPARK!, RAM on the Road, and more! Bring your gently used goods to RAM from noon to 4:00 pm each Wednesday through Saturday between August 17 and September 10.
Racine Art Museum and RAM’s Wustum Museum invites artists to investigate the zodiac for the museums’ third Virtual Community Art Show. A few of the many ways to participate include: using the animals/beings associated with the signs for inspiration, creating a personal astrological system or system of signs, creating a symbol that reflects individual personalities, using animal imagery to reflect bigger ideas, creating personal Tarot card art, artistically charting personal signs with the sun, moon, and rising signs considered, and creating art related to the star or constellations.
Any artist who is a resident of (or maintains a residence in) Wisconsin and is 18 years of age or older may submit work to this year's exhibition at RAM's Wustum Museum of Fine Arts.

SAVOUR is the Racine Art Museum’s annual art fundraiser, which showcases the diverse flavors of Racine area cuisine paired with art specially created by local artists. All proceeds help support RAM exhibitions, visual art education for children and adults of all ages and abilities, and care of the museum’s nationally recognized permanent collection.
This class is foundations-based, dealing with the basic principles of painting. Students will complete exercises that explore composition, value, color, line, and texture while working from direct observation. The overarching goal is to equip the student with a basic knowledge of painting and demystify the process—instilling confidence to tackle independent projects.
Create a canvas painting inspired by the warm colors of autumn. Start by learning how to compose an intriguing scene, then paint the details to create your own masterpiece.
Combine the art of the written word with acrylic and collage to make a piece that sends a message—both literally and artistically. Kelsey Marie Harris, former Art Root Writer in Residence and featured Wall Poems poet, will share insight on bringing poetry to life through visual art and design.
Try your hand at creating a rudbeckia—often known for its sub-species called the Black-Eyed Susan—from paper through the guided expertise of artist Laura Gillespie. No prior experience is necessary.
Join Urban Sketcher Patti Fallon as she takes you outdoors around the Wustum Gardens. Focus on the natural autumn landscape of the grounds as the subject for onsite location sketching. Patti will instruct you on creating quick sketches using drawing supplies that you are most comfortable with—all media is welcome.
Join former Art Root Writer in Residence Kelsey Marie Harris for an afternoon of written word and art-making! Transform a poem you create, or an existing poem that you love, into a work of art using collage and mixed media.
Join RAM Curatorial Assistant Kendra Voelz for an up-close and personal look at all 113 pieces on display in the RAM's Wustum Museum exhibition, Wisconsin Photography 2022.
